Has anybody got this working on a USB/SD? Finally got around to doing this and the DAB icons and nothing will play. Am i being a trilby hat or am i going to have to convert everything :-( ?

On anything reasonably modern compressing it shouldn't take two long. dbpoweramp is free for 21 days, or I suspect iTunes has it built in.

Sort your library by Kind. (If "Kind" is not visible, enable it by going to View > View Options and checking the box.) Note the ones that are Apple Lossless or AIFF, and drag them to a playlist.

Set your import option to AAC with your preferred bitrate. Go to your new playlist. Highlight a batch of them, and use the Command Advanced > Create AAC version.

iTunes will do the conversions serially, which will take a while, but you don't have to sit there.

Yes I currently use my 7th gen ipod but I always leave that in the car when I want it or my jacket when im in the car. I just purchased dbpoweramp and it is converting 5k tracks now!

Are your Apple lossless files DRM'ed?

I'm not good at all this stuff. They are either cd rips or downloaded from itunes. Only one ciuld not convert because it is in some old format which canot be converted (by itunes or dbpoweramp)
