Some of you are no doubt aware of this, but for those who are not, please be aware there are groups in Aberdeen doing the rounds stealing cars and posting the antics on the internet about it.
It seems that the thieves are using various tactics including;
Breaking in to houses, through cat flaps where possible and pinching the spare key from kitchen drawers etc.
Entering Audi's using the spare key that is put in the glovebox of the car when it is delivered.
Posting their antics online including places like Facebook
Hopefully the Police might actually do something about it (they seem to be "powerless" to do anything from everything you can read ont he subject). However, you might be best advised to review the security of your cars and spare key locations in the hope that the Police and legal system do something about it. You might also be advised to review your signatures/car details on here and any personal info posted online until these joy riders are all locked up for their crimes.
Also - making this post relevant for the Scotland Meets Section- lets be sure that all meets are done in sensible places and avoid the underground garages like we ended up at last time which was rammed with the type of ned that may well have been the same folks that have been stealing the cars going by the way they were driving and behaving.
The link below is an example of what has happened only the other day and there have been several more cars stolen since.
