My 184 returns c40mpg in town and nearer 50mpg on main roads (normal driving).

I'ver had mine chipped and can get 55mpg driving on A-roads etc in `normal conditions`

The best I've had on motorway @70mph for 150 miles was 69mpg.

The only time it's gone below 38mpg is when I left it on the drive for 5+ minutes warming up in the cold weather before I even went anywhere.

Not sure if yours is bad or not. Like others have said. Monitor MPG for a while and see how you get on.

Will calculate it manually as you advised, Thank you again for your help!
I find my Leon 184 computer estimate within 1mpg more optimistic than actually measuring/calculating over many tanks - so for me that's good enough to just use the computer.
My previous Audi B6 quattro used to be more like 5+ mpg optimistic!

If it does a regen that can bugger your fuel consumption - so maybe town driving + DPF regen double whammy poor consumption!

For information pre lock down I was getting 55-60mpg with occasional 70mpg on a long run.
Now in lock down its more like 45-50mpg, shorter journeys, cold starts and when I do go out for 'freedom' I probably use the go pedal more!
