Battery Cover Mod

The plastic battery cover mod made the engine bay much tidier on the MK2.

Have to say, I was disappointed to see the LH drive FR that was touring the dealers earlier in the year had the frankly laughable felt cover.

What are the UK spec models being delivered with?

I noticed this when checking oil the other day. It is indeed a felt cover. I'll be looking to replace it with something more substantial.

Ive got the same in my mk6 golf and it does the job perfectly.
Why do u need something more?

However, its not something i would spend money on personally!

Looks nice with the plastic but I will rarely look inside the motor so wont notice the felt cover that often.

It does look miles smarter with the plastic cover IMO and I have known people spend far more of much less noticable visual mods (Chrome engine bling comes to mind).
