a mate at work has an lcr problem with the battery losing charge, he has moved it to the boot but it seems to not have enough charge left after a couple of days to start and he has to be jump started
when we tested the voltage on the battery yesterday before jumping it was about 11.4v, 12hrs later when charged it was up to 12.4v but when putting a volt meter on the charge is dropping by about 0.01v every 5 seconds or so with the boot open but that should not drain this much
the pods in his pillars have been disconnected now, and the battery has been tested and this was shown as being fine. the battery is an uprated one from the normal, but i am not sure on the exact model or anything.
his stero is disconnected so it should be minimal power drawing occuring when left, the earths appear to be fine as well.
does anyone have any ideas on what to check for in this case? also would the battery location cause as problem with it needing more power to start? the battery was tested with the voltmeter directly on the connectors
