Best DIY daig/programming tool/software

Hi , new to the seat scene and I'm looking for the est DIY daig/programming tool/software. I know there is the vcds and obdeleven but in not sure best way to go. I've had plenty of use on dealer diag hardware and software with vauxhall even have my own account with them. Looking for a low cost option for messing around on my 66 plate Ibiza, was hoping for something a little cheaper than vagcom cable at £225.

Any ideas or what you use would be appreciated greatly.

What sort of customisations will this allow on a 2012 1.2tsi fr estate.

Would like to be able to change the digital speed read out from kmph to mph, and potentially enable it to see coolant temp if it can.

You can change the digital speedo to read as MPH instead but this appears as a new section rather than where the kph does (which I think makes it easier to read)

Ah brilliant, still sounds better than nothing though as I find myself look at the digital display more than the dial
