thinking of getting one just dont really know what type or where it would be best to put it , also how easy are they to fit , should i go for bar or psi reading .

Anyone got any recomendations for a cheapish one ??

Cheers in advance

not trying to hijack tread, but:

I have Autometer mechanical boost /vacuum and electric oil pressure gauges. Can I replace the gauges themselves with other ones and use the electric sender from Autometer?

que... ?

Yeah. Been too busy to get anything done with that. Since Im in Sweden it looks like Ill have to just get another valve from some fabricator and sell the Split R locally or somethin.

i had mine in the A post on a pod. seems the most popular. i run 3 extra gauges now so ive put them centrally on top of the dash. think one gauge only would look best in the A post personally.

mecanical runs a hollow pipe from engine through bulk head and gauge runs off that. electrics have an added box the pipe goes into and wires from this go to gauge.

gives you the install guide.. this is a mech gauge.

mechanical is more direct so possibly more accurate, less to go wrong.

electronic can give extra features. mine flash if they go over a set level which is useful.

best to trawl the forums to see which brands are liked. psi vrs bar is totally your choice:)

I made a custom console where the cupholder goes, been thinking of changing it lately.. but I suppose its still the most discreet spot...

MDS - I'd also be interested in seeing what the custom setup looks like.

At the moment I'm going with the Halfords option - but could easily sway'd if the custom setup looks good.
