My worst fears have come true, Sounds as if the exhaust is blowing quite heavily from the front. Sounds very much like a Nova Truck..... Wonder if the strong smell of petrol at start up has anything to do with it...

Will let you know what the garage say,

Will let you know what the garage say, i cant even contemplate trying to get Blueflame to deal with it under their lifetime guarantee !!

Which end of the dp? Engine or underneath? The gasket between the dp and the cat section in mine split in half and fell off (it was nicely frazzled tho). If you want to replace it yourself the one off your old exhaust between the cat and centre section (ie on the side of the cat section with one pipe) is an exact fit.
If its the manifold end get someone else to do it as it's a PITA.

The exhaust isnt even a year old, it might not even be the exhaust, customer service isnt high on the list unfortunatly, as many who were in the group buy wil testify. If after getting it checked out at the garage, its found to be a major fault, then yes i will contact them. The system itself is awesome, so fingers crossed its nothing too serious.

Phil.

Bad news mate, got me worried now I have had a strong smell of fuel/fumes for the last couple of months and the other day someone said my exhaust sounded like it was blowing. :( Must get it checked out, but like you dread the thought of trying to get any satisfaction from BlueFlame.
I remember trying to get them to accept liability for my lambda failure just after they fitted the system, 4 e-mails unanswered 3 phone calls, would not accept it was their fault.[:@]

Let me know how you go on and good luck.

Keith

seems a few people are having problems with blueflame again - got a mate down this way who's got problems too, but i think he's selling the car with it on so it won't be his issue. (Well, thats what he says anyway) Just hope he can sell it!

think i'll be looking elsewhere for my replacement then.:( (mucho moola)

I don’t think it’s an issue with the system in fact I think it a great system, it seems to be with the fitting side of things and BlueFlame after sales service.
I would recommend the system but also suggest having it fitted by a third party.

 @ powerflow - sorry but just my opinion from experiences both myself and mates.

Milltek / Supersprint all the way - as I've said before. Why buy a quality car and then fit substandard parts? May as well stick with std.
Blueflame are good - just they seem to be lacking in several depts - mainly customer service by the looks of it.

Mine had the exact same problem, the DP wasn’t even bolted on correctly. Paid an extra £75 to have it stripped and re fitted correctly in a different shop. Seems to be ok now but i still have a strong petrol smell and it whistles like a bitch!

Get new gaskets all round and that should sort it

does your powerflow have powerflow stamped on it anywhere?i suspect mines a powerflow, but has nothing to say that it is,previous owenr didn't know, and i can't be assed chasing up the other.
mines blowing and wondered if it would be cheaper to get a new back box put on it,or if it is a powerflow, and its garanteed, get them to replace the knackered back box.
its basically a SS pipe with mild steel box and tail pipe with some chrome tail trims.
don't fancy spending too much on it as i want cat and downpipe soon.
sorry to hijack the thread phil

powerflow is only gaurantee'd for the person who buys it.. not the 2nd or 3rd owner :)
