Bluetooth connection

Hi all, I've got a 2009 leon fr I picked up two days ago, I can see it has bluetooth connection on the dash but it doesn't give me option to search for my phone, just saying phone not connected, can anyone help please or does the module need replacing

What stereo do you have?

One uses a separate Bluetooth module while the other has it built into the stereo unit.

There is a module under the seat

That looks like the RNS-315 which has bluetooth built into the radio.

If you've also got a module under the seat maybe you're trying to connect to the wrong thing? or maybe the two modules are interfering with each other and causing problems.

I can't get the bluetooth to work on the radio, I click on the feature but doesnt give me an option to link phone, also the same problem with the bluetooth on dash, it just says phone not connected but doesnt give me option to search

Might need to plug in VCDS to see if there's an error message in there.

Try unplugging the under seat module first tho, might be a quick fix.

Yea il try vcds I've tried unplugging a few times and still no option to search

Are you searching with the stereo for the phone or searching with your phone for the stereo?

I've tried both ways, press the bluetooth on stereo and it does nothing, just like when I press it on the dashboard
