I wouldn't rule out 312mm ones off a TT I got calipers, carriers, hoses, new discs and pads (although stored so there's a little tarnish) for £120 delivered. Not that much more than new discs and pads would cost :)

Yeah that does seem a good deal. However, i think i'll keep my money for the next car ;)

I've noticed this also with mine, just no bite hardly but as people say it progresses

It all relative I suppose, when my wife first got her Polo 9N, I had serious problems driving it as I normally drive a V6 Passat B5 - and its brakes are a bit "older school", I've got used to the Polo 9N after 9 years and its brakes are still safe and will grab initially if you stand on them - but that is what they are meant to do. Front pads have always been Pagid (ie same as fitted at factory) replacement discs are ATE and as said, nothing much has changed after the initial 2,000 miles - it was a bit too grabby in the initial 2,000 miles. I do tend to pamper my brakes on both cars, ie clean them up every 6 months, so there is never anything seizing - always free and well lubricated.
