Hi guys as my brakes need doing i'm just curious as to what cheap upgrade options there are around, from other models i'm currently running the cupra 280mm setup same as golf g60.
Ideally i want something that bolts straight on with minimal fuss.

Try some uprated discs and pads if you want something cheap,Dave would they bolt straight on 2mine?i have 239mm i think,

I think they different... due to the thickness of the disc on the LCR and they 5 stid so the discs wont fit.

Rich - If 280mm from a 16v bolt straight on then I can't see a problem with 305mm going on!

Took me a few months, i give up and then did a random search one day and found them! There was a cupra r breaking on ebay and the bloke said all the time that he will be putting parts on ebay soon.

I been waiting for the alloys (track use hehe) but never saw any parts going up.... forgot about it till now.

Just keep looking fella!

How much did you pay for yours in the end i thought i'd found some on ebay on a cupra r being broken but they were the first thing to go.
Are there any other options with out spending too much cash?

Think i had them off ebay for £300 (calipers, discs, pads & braided hoses), brought new disc's and got my mates dad to groove them and then had DS2500 pads.

Other option is 280mm discs from a 16v, G60 or 20vT.

Got them already i, i might just get some grooved discs and good pads if i can't find anything else.

Oh yea sorry, I was thinking of Rich then lol

Yea go for grooved discs and some good pads... pagid fast road (can get them from gsf) or ferrdo (sp) DS2500

Would fabia vrs 312mm disc and calipers fit? Apart from the discs being 5stud which i could get re-drilled?

then you be doing what F2 Stu got.... think you need to machine a bit of the caliper then (thats with 4 pot cailpers).

Think Jamie with the yellow 16v fitted them type of brakes with little problems! There is the thread about them on here somewhere.

Would have a look for it for you but sorting stuff out for my insurance

Will do rich.
The 312mm ones i was looking at don't look like f2stu's the normal twin pots i think.

I know Jamie with the yellow 16v fitted the TT ones (same brakes) not sure what problems he had..... think he had to machine a bit off the caliper to and used spacers to get them under the ronals.

Getting them under the wheels wont be a problem as i've sold the ronals and got some 17's now so i may look into the tt brakes then.
