Cabin Pollen Filter

Hi,

I've just had a full service done at Nationwide Autocentre, a very reasonable £169-99, using clubcard deals only costs £40 ish, but they wanted £22 for a pollen filter.

I can get one for a tenner but don't know where it goes. Can anyone help?

Also, is it worth putting an anti-bacterial through it?

Many thanks

The pollen filter is below the windscreen at the back of the engine bay, you will have to remove the panel below the windscreen wiper assembly to gain access to it. Remove the three 10mm bolts holding the panel in and juggle it out by taking it towards the left of the engine bay. Once this is out if you look at the back of the engine bay up under the windscreen to the right of the bay you will just see the pollen filter. To remove this you just need to release a plastic clip and wiggle the filter out to the left. It is a bit of a fiddle and be prepared to lose some skin off your knuckles but it is doable. To replace just do the reverse of the above ensuring that the filter is located properly.
