(Bit of a rant Sorry)

Thoughts to the member of Patterdale Mountain Rescue who sustained life changing injuries while trying to rescue two people who went camping in bad weather.
As for the two persons they got fines of £200 each, Imo they should be fined a lot more than that for putting the rescuers at risk and get the bill for it .
IDIOTS.

I seem to remember hearing on the radio a couple of years ago about a woman who had to be air lifted off of a beach as the tide came in and caught her out. She lost a shoe during the incident and tried to sue the air sea rescue team for a new pair.
So they charged her for the rescue. Must have cost her thousands.

There are some fkin idiots about.

Yup the mountain rescue have enough to do up our neck of the woods and I would make the morons pay. It’s a voluntary group and to think someone got hurt trying to save a life makes in even more of an argument the morons should pay.
If people go up there when not allowed (lockdown) or are ill prepared (no compass, waterproofing etc) or for generally being thick, they should be charged £1000 per hour IMO.
