Hi all,
Ive had no end of running problems with my mk1 LC, Over boosting, not boosting enough, idling poor, loss of power, etc etc.
Now i had it in at the seat garage and vagcom came up nothing. The guys there couldnt determine the fault and suggested it could be a fult with the ecu as its over fuelling, I had the car remapped last year, and other than that is standard except a green panel filter and forge dv, im wondering if the Map could of somehow gone faulty causing the issues with fuelling??

check all hoses for cracks or splits.

you could also run it with the maf unplugged to see if this is playing up or not as this can cause issues and may not show a fault code.

(this is the sensor imediately after the air box.. traction control light will illuminate on the dash and you wont have traction control. but if the car runs ok with it unplugged (it will use other data~) then this would point to a maf issue.
Easy to try.

however it really could be a number of things.

Im taking it down to rs tuning at leeds on thursday for a run and fault diagnosis on the rolling road so hopefully that will shed some light.
Ive had it into 3 garages now, all supposed to be reputable VAG specialist and they just seem to fob me off that they dont know whats wrong with it, but its really affecting the way it drives and im only using the car as i have no other means of getting to work
