Carbon ugly plastic

Decided to carbon wrap my rear plastic ugly but, turned out quite well.

Looks good, however I hate to be that guy...
I looked at having this done to mine, was told wrapping exterior plastic like that is a bad idea as it will release oils and cause the vinyl to bubble and peel off.

Nah buddy I've carbon wrapped lots of plastics and never had any issues.

This is from someone with 15+ years experience in automotive wrapping.
I'm not saying all plastics, but that specific piece on the rear bumper. The UV from the sun causes the plastic to release oils.
Only 'safe way to wrap it is sand it down and coat it with primer.
