Central Locking Has A Mind Of Its Own.....

Hi All,

Recenty I've noticed a wierd bug in the central locking system.
If I lock the doors from inside the car using the control on the drivers door, the drivers door and boot lock fine (3 door model), but the passenger door can be opened from the inside and outside.

Though when I lock the car using the key (I lost the remote) all doors lock fine....

Any ideas???

I haven't looked fully into the problem yet...
Wanted to get opinions on the problem before I start pulling it apart.
A family member has access to VAGCOM so he can taking the car to work with him to plug it in and see if the problem rests with the computer.
But thats a 100 mile round trip, so I'd like to explore all other avenues before taking that option.

If I lock the doors from inside using the drivers control the doors lock but the passenger side then unlocks itself. I found that if I press the unlock button quickly after this happens then press lock again everything is ok and locks as it should. However when I use the remote all the doors lock, but if I press again to deadlock the passenger side will unlock itself:confused:
