centre console removal

Hi guys ive searched and searched and cant find the answer...

I need to remove either the whole centre console (i.e cubby hole cigi lighter etc) or just the cigi lighter part...

I cant seem to get either out.

Im doing it as i want to wire my speed camera detector to the live from the back of cigi lighter and itl be mounted in that cubby hole just above it.

Its tomorrows job so any help given tonight will be much appreciated.

it is a pain, i managed to get round the back to the cig lighter's main wires. it was a year ago or so, IIRC you push the cig lighter down and back, and then try and twist it so you can see the wires. its a tight spot, and need small hands (this is where i struggled), then wire to that and bring the wire out of the back.

that sounds like a **** description. oh well, i know what i mean

All you gota do is pull the gear gator away from the consol then that top bit it sits on pulls right off and theres 4 plastic screws underneath it. Also theres 2 screws that need undoing which are are the very back of the 2nd part of the consol (at the rear of the seats) then it should all just pull away easy peasy
