Hi Guys,

Well it was about time i cleaned the new addition to my family. So wanted feedback on what was good and not good.

Can anyone suggest the best for the following....

Dashboard - Now read the manual its says it must be solvent free. Now i purchased Sonax Trim Cleaner but haven't tried it yet. The guy in the shop assured me that its solvent free. Any one use this.

Wheels - Not sure thinking maybe Autoglym Wheel Cleaner

Glass - Not sure thinking maybe Autoglym Fast Glass

Wax - Autoglym Thinking Aqua Wax

Trim & Rubber seals - Autoglym Trim and Bumper gel.

Shampoo - Not sure ???

Any feedback would be appreciated. :D

Dashboard - ATM i am really liking meguiars super shine protectant

Shampoo - hubikote hubiwash ( doesnt strip waxes or sealants and is super slik)

Glass - gtechniq c1 for longer lasting or g6 for regular cleaning)

Wheel - iron x or wax tec fall off, for new tyre finish with swissvax pneu or shiny tyre finish meguiars tyre gel

Trim - gtechniq c4.

Wax - depends on budget under £50 I like dodo juice waxes up to £100 zymol glasur, swisswax and the like.

These are my personal favourites but others may disagree.

Are you thinking of using a clay bar as I too have a just bought a leon mk2 and have heard good things about clay bars but never used one before?

Ag do a clay bar for around 20.

Asking what people use is like asking them their favourite meal,

Dash I prefer mine Matt so I don't get glare, I use a water based product called pazazz

The wheels I use autoglym wheel cleaner, then autoglym true shine, but McGuire hot wheels is good too, I apply the shine with a brush before I wash as this get the losse off and leaves a semi gloss non wet look

Exterior I use fast glass or ordinar glass polish from autoglym or auto smart,
Wax I use he wax, it's like 25 and great, ill clay every now n then but I machine my cars twice to three times a year.

Clay bars are easy to use just remember to use plenty of lube/water before claying that area.

You'd be amazed what they pull off a newly washed car...
