To remove chewing gum simply get an ice bag and hold over chewing gum for a few mins. (long enough for chewing gum to turn cold and rock hard)
Then as soon as chewing gum is hard, scrape off and will come off very easily, leaving no marks at all. (except where the ice bag has been, but will soon dry!)

Found this out when a few years back i managed to get chewing gum on my mums brand new leather sofa :hide:

Gum

I work on the railway as a train driver m8 and one of my m8s is a cleaner and they have got a spray that when sprayed onto the gum freezes it and then you can just scrape it off.....Must be able to get similar stuff somewhere on the net....does work....Brilliant!

I carried a PC in the car with blu-tack on one of it's feet, and it worked it in nicely during the 90 mile drive.. I imagine it's the same sort of stuff as gum?

The answer was Stain Devil's yellow bottle of gum and blu-tack remover... took 5 minutes and just disolved it. I washed it away and you wouldn't know it ever happened.

For the front red cloth seats I use 1001 which now comes in a spray with a brush on the end. As at least 3 people have said, making sure it dries evenly is the key! Get the towel on it and sit on it :D

just bought my Cupra, my Red inserts are proper manky.

Autoglym or any other assorted chemicals haven't worked today, just seemed to mark them more.

should i just give in and go to the local valet place? are we looking at shampoo or steam for best results?

I got mine dry shampoo'd from a valet place for £10 and they have came up a treat. only downfall is that the have stated to small 'bullie' marks on them since they were cleaned. Tried lots of sprays and hot water to clean the before hand and none of them worked.
