hi everyone. my clutch is slipping so it looks like it is time for a new one. anyone know of any where i can get hold of a clutch and dual mass flywheel for a good price? also i may up rate it as my car is chipped so obviously theres alot more strain on the clutch. any ides and advice is apreciated. thanks.

assuming its a cupra and not a TDI then id argue you dont need an uprated clutch...

eurocarparts are doing 15% off clutches and flywheels atm... used the code CLUTCH15 at the checkout.

dropped my clutch/flywheel from £475 to £405

ignore me then.. im a mook :p

yeah 100% an uprated one with an FR Tdi running 200bhp, and the torque will be pretty high to match...

Eurocarparts dont do uprated ones as far as i know... check out a few of the forum vendors :)

ok great thanks alot that does help me alot because i couldnt decide on weather or not to get an up rated clutch or not so thats decision made, must get an up rated one. just have to find one now. any ideas on what i should get? will a sachs lutch and new dmf be able to cope? im not to sure on torque figures but i know its not a rediculous amount. i think 290-300 thats all. thanks again. look forward to the replies. :)

well i am looking to rebuild mine for 300+bhp and 300 torque and i have been told that its best to go for a stronger clutch, and a SMF conversion, because SMFs are stronger and dont fail as often as DMFs.

Im not going to SMF i dont think, too expensive but you never know!

With yours being diesel... i think its easier to go SMF as they do more conversions... are the diesels 5 or 6 speed?

Thanks for the comment on the wheels... they are 18" RS6 reps :) their coming off for a refurb soon, then im going to offer em up on wheelwhor*s for a swap.. bored of them!

ok well im happy to go for a stronger clutch but what sort of clutch do you think is the right one? my car is a 6 speed by the way. was thinkng ill stick with a dmf to. i have a friend who is more than happy to fit it all for 100quid and i was looking to spend about 700 or so on the parts so im hoping i should get one for that shouldnt i? out of interest mate. how much did those wheels set you back? a set of those would go nicely on mine. cheers for the help mate. much appreciated.

My clutch (~£680), new DMF (~£220) and fitting (£180) cost me ~£1080.

there you go :) im glad gac replied as i dont know much about clutches outside the OEM ones :(

my wheels were free, came with the car :D

i looked on ebay and there is some on there atm... LINK

not cheap considering they will need a refurb... being reps they are harder to come buy im told :(
