Coilovers Fitted - Before & After Pics

Hi people,

I got my Coilovers fitted on Saturday morning. Below are some before and after shots (using phone camera!);

Quite a difference in looks and feel. The car deffo turns in better and soaks up the bumps better instead of crashing over them like the standard suspension did.

I get a little scraping on some speed bumps and reversing out my drive, I think the main cause is the rear exhaust silencer. Good reason to get an uprated exhaust I supose
Or I might get them to raise the rear up 5 - 10mm, as the rear is looking prety low!

looks good but i agree that the rear needs up a wee bit. what kit did you get? been looking for coilovers lately.

agree with the above, the back looks like it should go up a bit, get some spacers on and give it a clean

back up and front down a bit, helps with acceleration aswell. What kit did you go for?

I went for the WeiTec GT Coilovers

Yeah I think the next time I'm at Star Performance I'll get them to adjust the rear up by 5- 10mm and the front down about another 5mm - guess thats the beauty of having Coilovers

I gave her a good wash on Sunday, after the pics were taken
Giving her a good 2 day detailing session later this month with my machine polisher and Victoria wax
Also getting the wheels powder coated white!

Not sure yet mate. Tempted with a Stage 1 GIAC map and full exhaust system, but won't consider that until next year.

Will ultimately depend on how long I want to keep the car. I can see me keeping her for circa 4 years as no other hot hatch is tempting me away from the Leon at the moment. I do like the Focus RS, but they're as common as muck - I see like 3 - 4 a day at least, but I don't see any other K1's

Did Star do the suspension on a Saturday morning?

I was gonna try and get springs and a map done on a Saturday morning some time.

Can you PM me what they took for fitting. Do you have xenons as I can't see the pics in work.

Seriously? Its the complete opposite over here, its really rare to see an RS! I'd say ive only seen maybe 4 r 5 different ones over here ever!! I think i'll keep mine for a few years yet too, then get a K1 and take it stage 2+
