hi all about to go and look at said car (its a coupe) and was wondering if theres anything special to look for i have a 2.0 8v cupra mk2 so know a few things to look for like central locking and elec windows but want any info on car i can get i like to be clued up before looking at a car

that you have proof the cambelt was changed

when does it need changing?

Book says 60k, but it would be prudent to do it sooner as they have been known to 'let go' early

I changed mine 2 days after I bought it @ 49k

its a 99t reg what price should it be nd is it just the cambelt i need to look for

no more than 2k

2k's about right for one that's in good condition and with low/average mileage.

Check the central locking works to.

Suspension's probably on it's way out by now if it's got more then 40k on it.

Check service history for oil changes etc.
