Weird,

Got in the car last night, and the 'jolt' has stopped happening !!

Now drives nice and smooth.

Apart from at idle, it's still got a little 'juddering' to it.......

Also sounds like my CAT is on it's way out..... get a rattle at about 3krpm

mmmmi wonder if thsi is what my brother is experiencing.he gave me a lift home tonight and it cut at every junction.he's only just got the cordie 1.4 off my other brother,who just put up with it.
drove me mad just driving across town.

might not be Jase. I've looked on Em's 1.4 Ibiza and it hasn't got the same relay as the Cordy. Number 30.....

But, it might have one but it's numbered differently etc.......

sorted it

mine was the dizzy cap apparently, have also replaced crankcase position sensor as we thought it was that.

AWESOME rocks for fixing it nice one lads.

mines doing the same thing and its realy bar****d anoying me but iv found wen its raining it only cuts out onece and it cuts out 3 times wen its dry now iv come down to the face its the crank sensor but i dont realy want to wack out £151 for a new one only to find out its still happening
could it realy be the relay?

you could try euro car parts for a cheaper sensor, they are only 45 quid. Although, i had to wait as the first 2 sensors they sold me didn't work!

On the upside, since doing three sensors i can now do them quicker than my local seat dealer

also, just in case GK Seat in derby read these pages - stop changing things blindly on my car!
