first pic- it seems it must be connected into conector (left, on first picture). If it making noises, check maybe someone unpluged it because fan (or anything which uses that connector) is broken.

second yes forge dv

Gonna class the dv as a win =)... didn't know it was on and was going to get one eventually anyway... I'll plug it in and see if anything changes as I say it's been unplugged and I just noticed it when trying to freshen the bay up

if you are sure it was for slow speed fan, then ok, fix it, it will not do harm but its way better to start cooling with slow sleep fan, than wait for higher temp to start hi speed.

I don't know 100% it is for slow speed fan as I didn't run the engine with it connected but ill have a look and see what I can find tomorrow should have all day to mess it up =D all in all I nearly soiled myself when it tipped ever so slightly above 90 when idling...

First pic looks like the small after run pump which continues to circulate coolant around the car after its switched off. mounted to the back of the rad pack a small cylinder with pipes attached?

This ^^^... so I'm guessing I should connect this... any specific reason it would be disconnected?

No it'll need new seals. Huge leak potential so deffo service it, or stick an OEM one on there which is fit and forget. :)

Having just paid for the car (£4750) £700 insurance and 2 new tires on front end plus needing to get timing belt done soon I don't have much money so ill probs leave it for now haha =/

Forge do a service kit which comes with everything you need, from memory it's only about £15. Well worth it in my eyes to prevent/cure a leak.

Just fitted my s2000 airfilter and I think that mixed with the forge dv makes for a very nice and not overly chavvy noise =) good times although I forgot to reconnect the MAF so my pants were once again soiled when the asr warning light came on
