Crap week

Last Thursday had a blow out on motorway. Nothing open so had to use emergency call out. £140 for 1 tyre. Guy mentioned the other front tyre wasn't in good nick either so went out next morning and got a new one for that @£57. Out for dinner on Friday night with family. Baby that was in the party was confirmed covid positive next morning. So me my wife and my son all now have covid and have been isolating this last week. Absolutely floored us. Horrible

Hi sorry to what about the ruff time you and your family are going threw. Sometimes obstacles can overwhelm you without a clear way over it. When your at rock bottom the only way you can go is up. You’ll overcome this and something good is bound to come out of this just keep looking for the sliver lining.

I've 2 new front tyres and spent the week watching and rewatching all the toy storys with the wee man so all isn't too bad

We’ve been laid up with Covid too for the past couple of weeks too.
Gone through us five over 3 weeks.
As @300bhpdaily says above, take the positives as hard as it can be sometimes.
Me and my 10 year old spent last week building his Christmas present, a Tamiya sand scorcher rc car so it turned into a productive week.

Wife had the same week before last on her Ibiza FR. £693 for a new alloy and tyre. Claim in with the council as the pothole was reported back in December, no warning signs and no paint around the hole - about five other people hit it before and after her. If they refuse, it’ll go small claims court.

I manged to get a refurbed one on ebay for £220

Mercedes wanted £650 ‍

I had also funnily enough just paid the road tax that morning too.

I've taken it on the chin. I claimed once before but was a total PITA

Thankfully, my Golf R when I had it, managed to avoid any alloy wheel issues. I think a brand new one from VAG is about £900.

I got bitten by an American bulldog whilst on duty, then playing rugby for Staffordshire police Wednesday split my eye in the 5th minute! And we got smashed

That’s honestly horrific will that dog have to be destroyed now? It’s awful for everyone involved silly people bringing up dogs that aggressive imagine if it had been a small child. I owe dogs and I’d be distraught if my dog did this to someone even it if thought it was protecting me.

It's being investigated, doubtful the dog will be destroyed, the owner didn't set it on me.
