Looks: Mazda 3 current gen or last gen both look great to me. Mk7.5 golf prob 2nd for me
Interior: current gen mazda 3 or a close second current gen BMW 1 series
Chassis: current focus or 1 series. Both are very well regarded.
Engine: Honda 1.5 vtec turbo. I'd have the American SI version but sport is good enough
Suspension: current 1 series m sport, I've been in one so I'd go with that as I've not seen a bad write up on that
Colour: Mazda soul red
All this is stuff I would choose is only based mainly on reading about cars in this range, not personal experience. Just thought it would be fun to see what others would come up with.

Fun idea. :)

I've tried, but I'm just writing SEAT stuff (as I'm too biased and it's all I've owned really!) I'm sure someone else can come up with something else much better than I can :)

Lol. I've been driving for nearly 18 years and all I've owned are Seats. 3 Ibizas, 1 exeo and now a leon. I do appreciate cars in general though that's why I came up with my list to make what I think is the ultimate mid range/warm hatch. The thing with hot hatches like the cupra and rs3 etc they are all just damn good.
