So here I am :)
Tune is not yet completed but for now it is on 470 hp :)
On top of what I already had installed tuner added is38 hybrid and hpfp got autotech internals.

It had no economical sense to try 500+ hp.
Maybe with next car....

What turbo did you decide to fit?
470hp is insane in a cupra! It must be flying :D

One of my friends Cupra 280 having little over 500hp with LM500 turbo without internals, it is insane how it is moving even with FWD, in summer ofcourse. But i was so surprised that it can handle that kind of power so well, drove with my 4drive after that and it felt like some old Honda without a torque :D

This charger was my number 1 tbh :(. But it was my tuner to change my mind.
So we decided to stick at 470-480 to avoid replacing the whole clutch set.
With this torque your friend will soon need to break his piggy bank :) if cupra is manual. At least graph looks like as torque is available very high.
Anyway I do not race from stand still and wanted it to be faster 100kmh-250 kmh
Previously I did 9.2-9.3 on 400hp set up (100-200)
Hoping now to go to low 8s.
Top speed is not that important and it already went over 300 on the speedo. Here the gear ratio will limit it and will probably remain the same already.
400 was already fast and well enough for stock a45, focus rs3, and all stage 2 mqb haldex cars.
So now it got a small kick and should make me smile again ;)

Hes car is equipped with DSG so no issues at all, software changed in there too and no slipping.

Exhaust is 3inch scorpion turboback, ic is something from airtec if I recall well.
Turbo is a hybrid from my tuner. It was build here in Poland.
This way I have full warranty for the mod.
Finally it made 469/549
I also got pop&bangs in manual now

They did my stage 1 and 2 and now 3 so my pricing may not be the best benchmark as they did all the labour, tune and mechanical mods and delivered the parts too.
Best to ask I guess.

Lots of experts in here and amazing tunes!

Is the IS38 safe to tune or not?
It seems like it's a gamble, some blow quick and some don't blow at all.
I just want a JB4 stage 1 but i am not in for engine rebuilds or turbo swaps.

I don't think the performance increase is worth it. But if you plan on going 450+ hp why not :D
What are the experts advice for a basic yet fun tune on a 290 FWD with Milltek non resonated exhaust.

What

Will is20 hold 450hp and 500nm on this car?
I got quoted 3000 EUR for a turbo and stage 2 tune here in Sweden.
That's way to expensive for tuning this car. So i gave up.
But IS20 seems fairly priced.

Well if you are 4wd it would be awesome to get the LM440 IS38 and run 450-480hp :D

Where in Sweden are you located? I still havent decided or ordered mine yet but i hope i can decide soon..

From personal experience I would go straight to stage 3 from stock.
Cost wise this is most effective.
Alternatively go through each stage making mods needed for the next stage.
So buy target ic, target down pipe, turbo and so on.
Having right parts saves labor and loss of selling unwanted items.
You will only pay extra for retune of software for stronger stages.

About 10x Leon Cupra / Audi S3 / Golf MK7 R drivers cruise around with 550++ HP with stable IS38 upgrade turbocharger PNP LM6XX with 2.0 TFSI Gen.3 built engines. Mostly tuned by MR-Chiptech, Stertman, MRC, etc. This Cupra has a very softsoft tune and makes 6,1 sek. = 100-200.

Some acceleration tests with IS38 hybrids for Cupra MK3 :1st:stabilized by PNP LM Germany.
Their smallest turbo is actually enough for nearly all races.

Yes, of course: Go to MR-Chiptech or FTS-Fahrzeugtechnik. They have tuned lots of LM440, etc. turbochargers for Cupra successfully so far.
