Cupra centre console LCD screen problem

The last few days i seem to be having a problem with the LCD screen on my Y-reg cupra , it freezes from time to time , sometimes for 24hrs before it sorts itself out , but all the controles still work fine ?

Anyone else had any probs like this ? If it continues i think a warrenty claim will be in order !

You guna be able to get a warrenty claim after 6 years?

Probably worth taking the radio/ac front panel off and checking the connections internally. not difficult to have a look, two screws at bottom of fascia, bottom left and bottom right.

Had a look at this problem the weekend , it was a lose connection on the ribbon cable on the back of the screen , pushed it back on with a small screwdriver , job done , problem solved !

Hi there........

Think i may have the same problem, so i also tried removing the 2 screws hoping that i could get to the back of the console to check wiring.

Now this may sound a little dim, but i took the screws out....... and thats as far as i got..! Try as i did, i could not make anything come loose or free. What am i doing wronf here..?

once youve got the 2 screws out pull the bottom of it toward you and it should come off
Top right side can be hard to get off so be carefull and dont break it like i did

Yea just pull at it gently, it's probably never been taken out thats why its all stiff!
