Hi All,

We got our ST last November and over the last few months with only 4K on the clock I’ve noticed a lot of noise under moderate braking from 60mph and above. It’s like a slight resonance and hum and it’s starting to drive me mad.

The discs look slightly pitted to me. What’s my best course of action and do you think it’s a warranty job?

Thanks

Yes on my Cupra R.
Rears a problem. First time cost £150 for removal and clean up all the rust and lumps of material.
Second time Warranty new discs and pads 4K miles 18 months old.
Two different SEAT garages.

Only had my ST for two days before leaving parked at Gatwick (in pouring rain).
Came back and rear pad had stuck to disc. Local SEAT dealer (very good - in Yeovil) cleaned up disc and ordered new pads.
Then..... lockdown!!
Pads eventually changed... for £139. Apparently they are 'wearing parts' and not covered under warranty, however I spoke to SEAT UK and they authorised a refund so 'well done' SEAT.
