So here she is...

52 reg with 56,000 miles. Full Seat main dealer/VAG specialist service history. Traded in my old Hyundai Coupe 2.0 which I had for a couple of years, so went for something a bit more tuneable!

Not planning to do much exterior work - maybe lowered and some tints, the money is going towards reaching respectable stage 1 with supporting mods.

80mm Jetex cone filter and heat shield, made such a big difference!

Debadged today... First left it with just '20VT' which I wasn't mad about, so took the lot off! Something with a plash of colour in that lower right corner would look good though

Yeah same, but I estimate up to 12 months before im ready for stage 2 and can't wait that long!

I'm going to MidlandVW who give a 40% discount on stage 2 if you got stage 1 from them.

The vent in the arch, what exactly does this do. Is it to let intercooler cool better by letting hot air escape easier?? and/or does it have much in the way of brake cooling benefits?

Yeah apparently it creates negative air pressure behind the intercooler and therefore letting/forcing more air flow through, as well as letting hot air escape. Made sense to me which is why I did it, cost a fiver so why not!

I doubt it makes any difference to brake cooling tbh.
