Bought my Cupra TDi back in mid September. Previous owner stated he wasn't aware of a re map, but judging by the performance I'm pretty sure it has. Around 200 bhp and just under 300 lbs ft I'm guessing.
The problem is (and the cold wet, greasy and damp roads don't help!) wheel spin and torque steer. I know it's to be expected, but for the right money I'd like to quell some of this ungainly loss of traction and regain as much as I can.
I figure a L S D is out the question, gonna be nigh on 1.5 k when fitted.
Front tyres are Kumho Ecsta. Planning to upgrade to my favourite the Michelin Exalto in the coming months which will probably help.
So bar a slip diff and tyres what can I do that'll SERIOUSLY make a difference?
Car is primarily used on the public roads. It might see a track day, but the focus is on getting the best for road usage.
Thanks
