dashboard storage removal

evening folks
been trying to remove the little storage space above the hazard warming button
there's a great video on you tube and it should be a 30sec job
I've released to 2 tabs and it moves fwd bout 10mm but no more than that
could the exeo one be different from a a4 cabriolet?

Does anyone know if the Audi double cup holder 8P0 885 995B would fit the top storage unit on the centre console on my Exeo ST?
