....

Got my induction kit (Dynatwist) & my forge 007 dv on my car now.

Was a little surprised at how quiet it is.:(

It does sound better than it did but I expected it to sound better. I cant beleive how quiet the dump valve is! I wasnt expecting it to have a great big whoosh but i expected to sound better than an old persons whimpering last breath!

The dump valve is a recirc valve so isn't designed to be noisy.

Having said that now i have my FMIC fitted on my remapped cupra the 007p does make an audible "whoosh" as i change gear :)

Is it remapped?

No, Induction kit & DV are my only mods so far. I know its a re-circ dumpvalve so I wanst expecting the noise you would get from an RS/scooby etc.

Just thought it would be louder than it is.

So it gets a little louder after a few hundred miles then?

Filter will take time to "run in" and the noise wont be that audible with the shield on. Take it off, and you may be able to hear it better, but then the filter will be sucking in warm air.

Get it remapped and it'll be louder, more boost more woosh :) and it'll be a lot faster!

I've got an Induction, Remap, Bailey BV30 (Re-circ but noisy), Forge TIP...

Makes a superb sound and the induction gives it a superb whistle on spool up....

Have to say I disagree with Jonzy, alot of people like the 'dump', its not a Chav thing at all, its personal preference.

Two huge 4" exhausts on a 1.2 Corsa... thats Chav....

i agree with Jonzy, it is a chav thing on this type of car...if people want that sound they should buy a scooby instead

these cars werent intended to dump pressure in to the atmosphere and although there are alot of different means to replicate the sound...why bother. the dynatwist doesnt declare that it will increase the sound anyway... take the can off and see how it sounds then if thats all u really want

but wot a waste of money in that case

Not really cos the Dyanatwist only cost me a tenner brand new!;)

Plus it seemed one of the better ones for the car than an open air filter!

Ill give it a few miles & see what it sounds like!

I agree it can look/sound chavvy - our Toledo makes a loud tssscchh when booted, and we're getting a FMIC so will probably make it even louder. We have a carbonio induction kit on it, which must be whats causing it to sound so loud as we had the same DV (Forge 007)on the Cupra R we used to have and all you could here from that was the turbo spooling up.

I dont really wanna get rid of the induction kit as it makes a nice throaty grunt when you put your foot down which. I just drive the car slowly through built up areas, which is probably best practice anyway. I blame Punto GT's, RS Turbo's etc.. etc... etc... for making the wooshy noise synonimous (sp?) with Chavs
