Over the last couple of weeks I've noticed that the engine fan has stayed on for a good 10 minutes after the car has switched off. It's only done it a couple of times but the car is a year old with 7k on the clock. Is it likely this is the DPF doing a regen and I've interrupted it? If so I'm guessing a quick blast at over 2k revs for 20 minutes should sort???

Yeah just been for one to clean it out a bit. Sport mode is great for a fun sunday drive

Just remember that if the DPF warning light ever comes on - your "Italian Tune-Up" drive won't do it any good.

Fastest way to re-gen a DPF is a steady speed over 40mph with revs around 2200rpm.

The Italian Tune Up would just block it more.

Thats what I did today, motorway in 5th at about 2200 - 2300rpm for about 15 minutes.
