Drive Mode Select not working

Hello

As the title suggests, my drive mode select button isn't working. It lights up briefly but doesn't seem to do anything else. I've had VCDS plugged in and it detects the button and show's it's being pressed but says it isn't installed. I've done a bit of Googling and seen a few posts about this on Golf Rs but can't see anything about it on Leons.

I've only just got the car, it's a 64 plate Cupra 280 and I'm assuming whoever had it before me did a little bit of fiddling as the door lights are permanently red, the instrument cluster display has a carbon fibre background and it appears the soundaktor has been turned down, although Carista says it hasn't.

Any thoughts?

Final update, hopefully...

NOW FIXED ?

FES restore on 5f, 19 data bus and as if by magic it all springs into action.

Safe to say it was definitely stuck in comfort mode.

You'll need to find a local garage with ODIS and get them to reset some modules to factory settings, I believe it was modules 5 and 9 and the CAN gateway, these are the modules that hold the drive mode info.

I was just about to raise a post on this subject before I came across this one!

I've got exactly the same issue and hoping that it can be fixed with your comments above.

The car is booked in (again!!) tomorrow with my local VAG specialist to resolve an issue after they had to code the infotainment system after replacement which then lost some functionality!

The mode button hasn't worked since I've had the car (about 4 wks now) so will ask them to look at this tomorrow!
