Looking at fitting a Darkside kit along with bypass cooler pipe.
As the car is 2004 would it throw any lights that would needapping out?

Will need to be mapped out, some places do it for free if you get a Stage 1 map.

if you buy the cable to read/write the ecu, send me the file from your car and i'll send you back the same file but with egr turned off for free

any tuning custom remap where you have to pay extra for such egr off please kindly kick them in the nuts very hard for being ripping off arseholes. It takes 2 seconds to egr off a file.

If you're willing to mod the file would you be willing to suggest a suitable cable which won't kill the ECU?

Professionally I can't recommend a clone cable, but I understand paying £1000-6000 for one flash isn't going to happen.

The cables people do use for self flashing tho are mpps v12/v13 and galletto 1260

Bad checksum is usually the killer or battery voltage dropping low. Either way most can be repaired easily
