Electric mirrors

Hi,

Hoping someone can help....
My electric mirrors have recently developed a mind of their own. Sometimes they will fold of their own accord, other times they will randomly move - giving a great view of the ground or some other random angle. Dealer wants to take the car for investigation but been warned theirs an hourly rate and they can't estimate times.

Cars an 11 plate Leon FR diesel.

My 2006 has started this along the same time 1 license plate bulb comes on and off along with the lights on buzzer so feel they are all connected. I will investigate mine further upon its return but might be worth checking to see what's stopped working next time they play up.

I've done a check - no bulbs out and no error codes.

Could be faulty adjuster,unit on centre console like a mini joystick looks like a twisting switch with labels round for fold in fold out heated/auto and toggle to adjust mirror.... try this bit first could be catching or just not quite on position ....or had liquid on it....
