Hi I'm new to the seat scene just purchased 2005 fr tdi 68k miles full leather and in good order it's the new baby wagon lol any way I bought the car was a few miles down the road and decided to adjust the mirrors and low and behold they don't adjust nada nothing no movment. The mirrors are folded out and won't fold back in as well. Ok so I checked the fuse its ok and the switch in the door is lighting up so power going to that and everything else works in the car anybody got any ideas as I'm new to these cars also the drivers mirror seems loose wobbly

I think I have seen this before where the mirrors stop folding in. If you unplug the drivers side window motor and reconnected it again they will start to working again.

ok got a lad to run a check on leon using vw/seat/audi garage diagnostics and low and behold the ******* was clocked 70k shes reading and actually 86k on ecu anyway **** it my fault should have noticed the small crack on the instrument cluster but any way his check showed nothing up regarding electrical faults related to mirrors etc he tried tapping in to adjust mirrors etc through his laptop but he was blocked he did mention more connections in the foot wells ?? im at the point of selling this car again as these mirrors pissing me off anybody got any more ideas please help or she for auto-trader by weekend. he did say the fuse box was taken out as there was 2 screws missing probably when they were trying to get clocks out he said maybe something disconnected behind that.
so to recap i have power going to the switch as the switch is lighting up but no mirrors working on both sides i bought a new switch no good and i disconnected the battery and joined the terminals to reset and again no change. thanks any help really appreciated

Try the full ecu reset mate. First make sure you have you're radio code. Disconnect the battery and go have a cup of tea for half hour. Go back and reconnect the battery. Resets everything. You'll be surprised how many faults this cures!
Worth a try for no money eh!

An ecu swap can show this too, maybe it was mapped and they removed that ecu?

Remove the positive and negative from the battery and join them together with a spanner, it restarts all the electrics.

Or the mirrors have been swapped for non folding, but the adjustment should still work.
This fuse list might help you
