electrics gone mad

Hi guys, had a lot of water coming in from the rear (behind) bumper before i realised the problem, i mean 1 inch of water in spare wheel well, and it happened over a few months, so car was super damp, when i realised some of the electrics were not working properly and i could hear relays under steering going mad, got leak repaired and manage to "dry" with a heater the car twice to get it working over a couple of days, got a dehumidifier in for a week but nothing worked properly since, internal lights going on/off by themselves when car parked, radio staying on when car is off, no indicator, high/low beams, not heat/air working, driver door not opening with keyfob but all other doors do, and it clicks like its looking to auto lock when i drive non stop... car still drive fine otherwise.

It is dried now and no water gets in anymore.

all fuses are fine and now none of the relay click anymore.

So, what is not working in there, doesn't sound like the ECU, what controls all the electrics in this car, it is an FR 2L tfsi DSG by the way.

I'm pretty sure that the controller (separate to the ECU) is up front and wont be affected by the water leak in the rear. If the humidity is high enough all your connections, plugs, terminals and fixtures will probably still be damp and perhaps corroded.

There is a power controller for all the electrical bits, few are controlled directly by the switches.

A lot to check. Depending on how long you run the car, only the cabin ( not the boot area or dash) may ever have been dried out for a long time.

thanks for the replies, so controller was refurb and all is good so far, bar my driver front door does not open with key fob, all other doors and boot are fine, mirrors and windows open or close with keyfob without issues, just my door... any ideas?
