hey all ,

once again i am here with probably a very easy question.

before i got my car last week someone has replaced the egr valve of my leon cupra fr 150 with a blanking plate. the engine manegement light isn't on and now i know why. its been taken out. i'm not happy about this because if something goes wrong that may not be painstakingly obvious i'm not gonna know!!

does anyone know how to get the bulb working??

i'm not sure wether its been programmed not to come on or wether its just been taken off completely.

anyone got any ideas of how to fix it??

cheers guys

Can I ask, how do you know it's been taken out? Have you had the dash apart to look?

The idiot lights are all illuminated by LED's soldered to the dash panel circuit board. It would be a difficult job to take it out, not to mention an act of vandalism.

Not a bulb, an LED. My guess would be that the previous idiot has blanked the indicator window with a bit of card. The only way to find out is to take the dash apart, though.

ok cheers mate,

the garage which i got the car from has to sort it so there will be no cost for me. hopefully your right and its just a piece of card.

the panel of lights where the engine management 'led' is meant to be looks like its sitting a bit proud as if at some point its been taken out so hopefully its just card lol

thanks once again for your help,
