Hey guys,

i have an 03 plate Ibiza TDI FR, its running 170 bhp and 300 torque, but recently have noticed when im in 6th gear and i put my foot down i get a vibration from the left hand side(as from the driving position) of the engine. And also the engine know seems to be slanted slightly in that direction as i look at it.

Does this sound like engine mounts?
If so what do i need? (FR3 Full Engine Mount kit? Dogbone Mount? etc)

Any help would be great
Cheers
Chris

Sounds very much like said above a few times :p the flywheel. If your in a high gear never floor it. Always change down cos especially with such high torque it's gonna ruin your clutch and in this case your flywheel. Never really had problems with mounts unless there abused.

Does this vibrating in a high gear mean that i need to replace the flywheel? i have an uprated sach clutch, how much can you get a lightened one for?

I think if you want to boot it from high gears low revs then a single mass flywheel is the way to go. Not sure what other components it will put stress on though. Jabbasport sell a uprated dual mass, not sure on price. But its steel not cast iron, so much stronger. Best bet is to change down and not boot it below 2500rpm... but where is the fun in that
