Engine start cycles

I've activated my Ross-Tech VAG-COM software after having some codes pop up from performing scans using the shareware version and wanting to use it fully. The codes where the usual suspects 17705 - pressure drop and 16534mixture too rich/lean. I cleaned the TB, re-aligned it and hunted for split or worn vac pipes - didn't find any and replaced the hose clips with the jubilee variety where necessary. Thank you SeatCupra.net!:worship:
After completing the work I cleared the codes - this was 3 weeks ago with the car being used daily. Last night I did a scan and was well pleased with the resulting no error codes found.

My question is does anyone know what the start cycles are for when codes re-appear after they've been cleared ?

Not exactly sure I understand what you mean by "start cycles". Mind elaborating?

What I mean by 'start cylce' is each time the engine is started and ran.
Currently I'm of the understanding that if an error code is detected and cleared without any remedial work carried out after a period of time or certain number of start cycles the code re-appears. So I'm wondering if the remedial work I did has actually fixed the problems or are the error codes likely to re-appear again?
