Hi all

Another problem.

this does not happen at idle or on acclerarion its only on keeping the speed/rpm at a level i,e doing 30 mph in 4th or 3rd gear between 1500 rpm and 2500 rpm is when it feels most, it just feels like the car jerks slightly rpm needle fluctuates up and down about 50 to 100 rpms max at the moment, its not making the engine jump out the bonnet or anything but i know its there and its just started to happen.

Theres zero mods on the car and its just had its major 40 k service at seat 1500 miles ago.

Its booked into midland vw for weds morning.

any ideas what this could be? DV valve/spark plugs/coilpack etc.

Sounds like you could be in need of a modded EGR gasket. click me

my cars a petrol tfsi not a pd oil burner, i think its a failing coil pack and its only happening at steady speed not accleration i still have the power to boot it and all feels fine it just feels doing a steady 30 it misfires now and then.

I don't know how bad yours is but my FR does a similar thing and always has.
If driving in traffic at say 30 mph on a very light throttle its like the fuel is being turned on and off again and again. No one else ever notices mine only the driver. Lots of cars do this its to do with no fuel being injected on overrun and I think the car can't decide if your on throttle or not.
I worked in a Fiat/Alfa garage for 15 years and had this complaint 100s of times and its normal/
You will know how bad yours is but mine is normal.

I have exactly the same problem with mine like, its getting to the point were im hating driving the car as it feels at times like it constantly running out of fuel and its not only the driver who can feel it in mine now. To top the situation off my car tonight developed a major misfire and loss of power ran VAGCOM on it when i got home and it said:

Mate ask as many question you need too.

Coil packs cost £25 to £30 each.

easy to replace. take the engine cover off by unclipping the MAF sensor then undo the clips to the air pipe on the left, and undo the screws or clip on the unduction mounting omn the front of thr cover towards the front grill.

cover now needs to be pulled up on each corner with some strength do a corner at a time it will pop off once off.

coils are attaached to the top of each spark plug simple undo clip and pull out and push the new ones on takes 10 mins to do. i will message you a link on the cover.

erm its the same engine so i cant see them being any different to be honest, i brought mine from midlandVW, im 99.99% sure the all the same on the 2.0 TFSI engines k03/k04 turbo.

Just ask for coil packs for a 2.0 TFSI engine mate you should be fine.

let me know if it cures it.
