Good afternoon all,

Apologise if this has been asked before

Would a 300 exhaust fit the newer 290?

Part numbers are different

Thanks Jay

Hangers yes. However the pipework may need altering to fit the 290 as it has the additional GPF/PPF that the 300 didn't have.

However, what is it you are trying to achieve. If its to make your car louder, I would expect it to make no difference at best, but more liekly make it quieter.

The 300 as standard is noticeably louder than the 290 as it does not have a GPF/PPF. So you may find that the the 300 exhaust has an internal design to aid in reducing the noise to more public friendly levels. Where as the 290, being quieter as standard due to the GPF/PPF, may in fact be the louder system.

i'm selling my car and i know someone that has got a 290 but he wants to make it louder

just wondering if it was easier to swap the complete pipe over instead of cutting his new one?
