Exhaust Blowing on Cupra :(

Hey folks :) ,

My standard exhaust has become gradually louder over the last few days, and today it was to almost performance-sounding levels lol, however, it's not good as its blowing.

Upon closer inspection with my mate we found it had basically rusted away at the backbox and is actually hanging from a bracket rattling as well...!

Whats my options? I can't afford £300 on a full system, but I have a feeling an OE replacement box is about £100?

Is there any replacement performance backboxes? I saw a blueflame one for about £120 which seems worth it considering its not much more than standard?

Any other options? Or is not worth getting backbox only and should I be looking at full system, or OE replacement backbox as my only options?

this happened to me. luckily it was in warranty but if you think it's gonna be £100 for the OE rear box???? Don't even bother going to any of the cheap exhaust places. They were quoting me nearly £300!!!!! Seat near Gatwick done it for me for a £180 but the garage i got it from forked out for it. If it was me it would of had the supersprint exhaust. As you have revo surely it would be best to get performance exhaust and induction kit.

Hi mate,

It's only a guess about the £100 OE rear box as I havent managed to call anyone about it yet, am I way off then? If its gonna be anywhere near £200 or even £300 i'll definately get a custom exhaust.

I always thought as it's just the backbox it'd be about £50 lol

Hi mate,

Im not keen on putting a 2nd hand zaust on, after all the hassle of replacing it I might as well be putting a new one just so I know where I stand in terms of warranties etc.

But thanks for the offer dude.

All exhaust places I phoned say there is no pattern part, and I have to go to SEAT, so looks like a Militek system for me!
