Exhaust bock box

Just had a butchers under my car, the back box looking a tad shoddy no holes YET!!! so my qu is will the FR exhaust be a straight replacmet or even the cupra back box?

My car is a 2004 2.0 8v 3door if that makes a diffrence? also does anyone know what sort of price a new FR back box costs?

Fianlly car matts? I rang my local Seat they wanted £45 for origional car matts is this about right or can ya get um cheaper?

as for the exhaust im not sure i have a fr backbox in the garage i can measure it when i get home and let u know if u cant find the sizes on the internet

Hi am not really sure which dimensions you require the back box "can" as it where is 19inchs long but i assume you need to know dimension of where the back box fits the mid section i assume?

Will search the web to see if i can find and additional info!

yea i mean the pipe before it goes into the silencer

It can be made to fit just get a reducer pipe off eBay if needed

Ok this is going to sound stupid car on drive so was running my hand alone the pipe exiting the back box silencer heading towards the mid silencer the pipe from back box silencer is either 1-2inchs or it goes striaght to mid section!

wish id warn gloves though the amount of rust is silly IMO had brown hands! wish id spotted it before buying car would have tried to blag a new one not like it would have worked though! gives me a chance to poss put on an FR one now though as its a twin exit ATM but droops down behinf bumper id like a twin piping out just like the FR, was hoping i may get one cheapish as most people seem to want the cupra look!

oooh nice one you got link to what id need and is this a farly easy job as am not the best mechanic ok well am crap ave done bugger all really but got a mate who a dap hand with the tools! dont fancy paying some garage a wadge of cash unless i have 2!

get the exact sizes of your exhaust and the fr' exhaust order about a milimetre (inside diameter) bigger than your exhaust pipes and get it about 110mm long this should ensure a nice tight fit so no blowing
