Exhaust on the Formentor - anyone keen to take some pictures?

Hi all

I would love to know how the exhaust system on the Formentor looks like so if anyone of you drops by a dealer it would be highly appreciated if you could take some pictures underneath the car. Maybe it's too much to ask anyone to crawl around under the car at a dealer

I'm actually just interested to know if the car has a centre silencer/resonator or not. If it is the case (hopefully) it would open up the exhaust by removing. I'm asking since the new GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) makes the car sound a little numb compared to the previous 2.0 TFSI's without GPF.

Yes! Thank you so much! It's very clear that there's a resonator in the center. Very similar to the Audi S3.

Looking at the picture again I see that the exhaust also have valves which means these will be able to code out - exciting.

On the S3 these valves would only open with the gear leaver in P or above 3.000rpm while driving. By coding them out the car will get a little more grunt even at low rpms.

Most likely not. That said you should be able to code them out yourself. However, some people have had a hard time doing it on the new GPF cars. A solution would be a valve controller like this: https://www.active-sound.eu/en/audi/audi-a3/audi-a3-8v/active-valve-control

Hey @Syphon, do you have any more underside pictures? I am in talks with a guy who does custom exhaust mods and he hasnt worked on the Formentor, but I want to send him some pictures to see if he can work on a solution while I am waiting for my delivery. Cheers.
