The concept headlights on both of these concepts would be illegal on the road, thats as good a reason as any for them not to make it to production.

Concept cars are conceptual ideas by designers who are given more or less carté blanche to create what they want to make a project look striking at motorshows and get column inches for the company.

You will be forever disappointed as few concept cars will ever make it to full production without having been made affordable in both production tooling and ultimately for the end consumer.

As concept/prototypes go, SEAT have always been fairly consistent in bringing the vision to production as close as is financial possible.

Can see why the Bocanegra headlights are "illegal" as they are little more than a cluster of LED's

The IBZ concept lights don't really show enough to suggest either way.

Surely if the beam pattern and direction were correct, it doesn't matter what the headlights look like, as long as they conform.

Current A3 type light would still give the overall effect of the concept

Okay I'll start by pointing out the space between the top of the bonnet and the top of the front wheel arch.

Concept car is a one piece build, most likely originally modeled from clay then quick prototyped out of resin or plastic/metal forming for the show car.

Production car needs to be produced in multiple parts for ease of construction and cheaper parts and easier replacement.

For example if you pranged the concept car's wing it would need the entire front end panels replacing. The production car would only need a new wing.

Concept to production ready model is not as easy as it might seem.

See the video on the SEAT page that Syphon linked to earlier in the thread. Shows the cars lights illuminating. They are clustered LED, no projectors so it's very unlikely they will produce a legal light source.
