Anyone else with a 2.0 tdi have their fans runnung quite a bit after you stop and switch the engine off ?

mine seem to run quite a bit which would suggest its running hot which shouldnt be happening in the autum/winter

It's normal if you switch off the engine during a DPF regen cycle.

Is your idle speed sitting at around 1000rpm rather than the normal 800rpm when you switch off ?

Deffo sounds like a regen. You may hear that the exhaust note is a little gruff on a regen too.

Just take it on a motorway run for 5 mins to finish the regen cycle. If you switch off mid regen too many times it may flag a DPF light.
