im having the main engine cover sprayed the same colour as the car so that will just be more shiny then im having the cooland lid brake fluid lid and washerbottle lid and oil cap lids sprayed red and the battery cover you dont have red (same as the strut brace) if i dont like it i can always change the colours ect

Took mine down to JBS the Tip dose fit but it rubs on the engine and one of the pipes at the back. I have no picks to show you guys but JBS took some to sent to Forge to show them, bit of a downer, but IHI turbo next month so it saved me some money really, but it would still have been nice to know what difference it made ( if any ).

come home from an exstramly sh** day in the motor trade to find a box with forge written on it the T.I.P is here :D will be fitting it saturday.

well the engine cover got sprayed today but as it went into the oven to be baked the products id used to clean the plastics in the engine bay made it bubble up. so will be doing them all tomorrow or saturday again :shrug:


cnt wait to fit the t,i,p

mine is nowhere near the actual engine just touched the manifold heat shield so just bent that out the way for piece of mind coolant pipe touches tip but not interferring with it and gear linkage but that was rubbing on oem tip so no problems with the design that i can see

hope i dont come across any problems on saturday fitting it is there any tip to speed the process up ?? il have a two posta ramp to help me too :D

you need to remove a coolant pipe holder nut tricky to get to this allows pipe to move so you can remove original tip the vac hose that goes at the bottom of the tip is hard to get on with the room you have under neath.
whole air box needs to be removed but not hard to do in general just a few bits that are hard to reach and see thats all

sounds pretty simple then il take it for the service at the stealers in the morning then fit it after then clean it and hopefully il have most of the engine bits sprayed by then

im not even gonna attempt to try and fit mine as i have no clue what the hell id be doing and prob **** it up or break it!! :p

gonna get my mate who owns a local tuning shop and garage to fit it for me..he turbo'd, put on coilovers and big brakes on his mx5 in one day!! so he should no what he's doing!
